Shoshana : Israeli Cusine

After decided to cancel the trip to Egypt because HR Manager didn’t approve my vacation, I was a little bit down and had no intention to update my life here. Some of my “fans” start whining and longing for new recipe or food review. Actually I’ve several restaurants to introduce to you guys but please give me some time to get back on track, ok? Shoshana Israeli Cusine

Well, today I’ve an Israeli restaurant for you !!

I believe that everyone here has visited Kao Sarn road at least once in your life and probably noticed that there’re a lot Israeli people there. But anyone has ever been to Israeli restaurant there? If not please follow me I’ll show you where it is and what best to try.

The name of the restaurant is Shoshana. I am sorry I didn’t take a photo of it but it’s easy to find. It’s just down the soi behind a police station. There’re few restaurants in that soi, but the one I went to was the first on the right side. This is not a fancy restaurant but trust me the food is to die for. Shoshana Israeli Cusine

I had a chance to try “homemade” Israeli food a couple times, Israeli salad is a must. It’s damn good man! Especially with Tenhina (Tehina is a thick dip with sesame seeds as its base. It is often used as a topping for falafel and other dishes.) Since I had it before so I didn’t have it at this restaurant to safe some space in my stomach for something else.

To sip Mint Tea while waiting for the food is one of good eating moments.

Shoshana Israeli Cusine

Let’s start with a basic dish, Pita Bread. To me I think this is equivalent to Rice, because you can eat pita bread with everything. And to serve warm is also an essential.

The second basic is Malawach, this one could be Kao Neow (sticky rice). Malawach is one of a number of dishes brought to Israel by the Jews from Yemen. The popularity of this versatile dish, which may be served with a variety of fillings and toppings, testifies to the love for Yemenite food which Israelis have acquired.

We ordered malawach with boiled egg and tomato dip, you can also ask for chili dip to spice it up.

These two dishes can be ate with the rest of the food we’ve ordered today.

My main dish was, Chicken Livers Shishlik, served with mashed potato and salad. You have to stop counting calories when you chose this one. C’mon give yourself a break and just enjoy it!

Another dish was Chicken Sharwarma served with Baba Ghanouj (Eggpland with Tehina)

In Israel, it is not unusual for guests to drop in for a visit without prior notice. In such cases, they are likely to get a light snack or impromptu meal. In anticipation of such contingencies, one such prepared dish is baba ghanouj, which can be found in virtually every Israeli refrigerator.

Shoshana Israeli Cusine

This is my favorite of the day, Hummus with mushroom.

Shoshana Israeli Cusine

Hummus was brought to Israel by Jews from Arab countries, though today it is everyone's favorite. It tastes best when eaten with fresh, warm pita bread. But actually it’s good with everything

Do you believe that I ate a lot and my friend has to ask me to stop. I know I know I am suppose to eat less since I gained a lot lately but guys it’s sooooo absofuckinglutely delicious. Shoshana Israeli Cusine Next time you go to Kao Sarn road, don’t forget to look for Shoshana.
