Green Week : The Incovenient Truth

Well, those cloth bags that our lovely BPS carrying is not for sale, but they are for free. We will give them to all OOCL colleagues next Mon & Tue after viewing the documentary film 'an Inconvenient Truth'……. Why the reusable cloth bag??

Do you know how long does it take to destroy the plastic bag? It can take between 20 and 1,000 years to decompose, probably FOREVER.

As you may well aware, plastic bags harm the environment and they contain a lot of chemical which can be hazardous to humans. So this year we encourage you all to use less plastic bags as much as you can. Let's start from you first, it maybe a little step because you are just one person….but every bit could help our environment.

What we can do to help reduce wastage of plastic bags and save the environment.

• Use the reusable bag during your shopping trip สามารถใช้ถุงผ้าเวลาช็อปปิ้งตลาดนัดข้างๆ ตึกตอนช่วงทานข้าวกลางวันได้

• Remember to bring your reusable bag when you go shopping


• Buying some few small items at minimart, just say 'NO' to plastic bag

• When buy the items that's already been packaged with handles (e.g. toilet rolls, rice packet, etc), say 'NO' to plastic bag


• In case that need to use plastic bags, save it for next using or use it as waste bin liners

• Encourage your family members and friends to do the same

Environment Protection is in your hand, let's do it now, starting from OOCL Green Week. Thank you for your effort.

By the way, we encourage you to wear your green T-shirt or something green next week, especially the day you come to watch the Inconvenient Truth.

Today is the movie day which was arranged for us around lunch time. Firstly I planned to skip it because I’ve seen this documentary a year ago. But when I see the food they prepared for us I’ve to change my mind.
